When I saw the slip dress starting to appear across the pages of my favourite websites and fashion magazines I didn’t think it was going to be a style I wanted to try but the more I see the more I want …I think it cud be one of my winter favs.
It’s versatility is very surprising!!! They can be worn all lengths (longer usually seen more for a glam event/night-out), the can be dressed up or down, beautiful with lace and a pair of heels or totally casual with a wooly cardigan and some worn in leather boots.
With some gorgeous examples found on the high-street it is such an affordable style. There is beautiful black slipdress with lace on Zara for €35 (it sold out quiet quickly but I have seen it back on the page since ) so don’t wait around buy or regret. Personally I would pair mine with a cream chunky knit jumper, high denier opaque tights and leather/suede ankle boots for these chilly winter months.
When winter approaches it’s easy to find yourself with a closet void of color- but all that grey can leave us in a wardrobe rut! Add soft pink- this season’s “it” color- to revive your style.
Pink trench coats were all over the runway this fall! The feminine color contrasting perfectly with the oversized shapes. If a pink coat intimidates you then try adding a soft pink sweater or statement necklace to your wardrobe.
After all, pastels are truly the perfect winter palette.
I love this time of year the shops are full of texturally pleasing fabrics, everything gets softer and cosier. Beautiful knitwear, perfectly soft leather and the best of all Fur ( faux for me ) below are some of the pieces I’ve been falling in love with this season
Ah a girl can dream this amazing Marc Jacobs antique rose coloured coat €9000 is amazing, but a definite buy for me is this topshop tipped faux fur much more affordable at £89/€135. Also in the mix are a fur scarf Topshop, a short jacket and gilet both River Island, a parka from Warehouse.co.uk and the most stunning Feather mix cape £90/€140 from a Topshop which would transform any outfit for the most glamorous night out
What’s not to love about the humble Ponytail, it truly can be worn at any occasion. Practical for our day-to-day errands or to get us that extra day out of hair, perfect for the gym and now due it’s rise in trend it’s a must for or Saturday night out/ Big Events or Glam Occasions.
It can be Sleek, Texturised, Curled or Volumised. Such an easy style for us to perfect ourselves. For an everyday pony, I would pull it up with a bobbin with my fingers (no brushes needed for this relaxed look), for a sleek ponytail I tend to use a soft bristle brush with a light spray of medium hold hairspray over the bristles and tilt my head back and brush the hair into a high sleek finish.
For my curly/wavy ponytail I would previous curl my hair and usually do some back combing to the front to add that extra bit of glam with the curly ponytail it is beautiful worn both high and to the side or even as a low pony with lots of volume and texture. And finally for a full volume pony, I can go sleek or with body when tying up my ponytail once up I would add back combing to create the volume and some movement through the hair as it falls,
The High-street is awash with Leather this season and we’re loving it in all it’s forms, from our day-to-day shopping totes to our super glam (dressed up or dressed down) straight midi skirt. It is definitely one of this seasons must haves and so wearable as it is available in all style it can be incorporated into everyone’s wardrobe 😍. It gives an edgier feel to any outfit plus its a very affordable trend with Faux Leather available across most ranges. Below are some (just some of my favourites in stores right now as I loved too many to put them all up here)
All the items shown below can be found on Zara.com and Topshop.com, happy shopping.

I’ve been watching baking shows all week whether it was MasterChef Australia, Great British Bake Off or Great Irish Bake Off they were all about the Dough so it put the longing one to make my own
Pizza having never done this before I decided to have a pizza & beer night at ours (just for added pressure 😊)
I made my dough on the Friday night to use for Saturday to make the dough I used 800grams of Strong White Flour, 200g of semolina flour and a teaspoon of fine sea salt all sieved onto a clean dry work top and make a well into it then pour your liquid mixture of 650mls of tepid water, 4 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon of golden castor sugar and 14g of dried yeast. Allow to prove (swell to twice the size) for about an hour somewhere warm then wrap in clingfilm and leave in the fridge until 20 mins before you need it. Very easy to make but very very sticky at first.
Tomato sauce for the topping is just passata, a little olive oil, salt and red pepper flakes and as for toppings use anything your heart desires I allowed my guest to choose there own 😊😊 I just salutes the peppers, mushrooms and onions for a few mins first
They were delicious will definitely make them again and again
As I am very much a cold creature I start dressing for the winter autumn a little early so for today’s shopping outing I wore this cosy outfit.
Denim shirt from trf range at Zara such a versatile piece it can be dressed up or down can be worn casually or for a night out, the cream wool jumper is also a Zara piece so so comfy and warm, the jeans are Leigh from Topshop there so soft I love them
And have them in many colours
My accessories are leopard print pumps from Gap, layered necklace from Topshop and large tan tote from Zara brilliant for a shopping day out because it can carry your whole life 😊
Decided to try a one month shopping ban to see if I could do it, it wasn’t actually as bad as expected but I’m glad it’s finally over too😊 It resulted this weekend in this little haul. Jewellery from penneys and accessorize, houndstooth jacket (bargain at €25!!) and loafers from penneys, leather jacket and grey jeans from zara, black tshirt and teal top from river island. Pink jumper from topshop and boxy short jacket in h&m sale! Might just have to ban myself again❤️
